What do you say about “Bugsy built it”. I don’t know that Bugsy Siegel could have ever imagined all that the desert oasis would become. It’s a place of entertainment, lady luck, and unfortunate loss.
Many of the Hotels/Casinos in this picture can only be remembered through newspaper clippings and deeds filed at the courthouse. However, there are a few, like the Flamingo which Bugsy built, that continue to stand the test of time. Why do some fade and others flourish? No one really knows. The “experts” will give you reasons and your friends will tell you theories but in the end it may just be good old lady luck. So don’t hesitate to roll the dice and take “Bugsy built it” home, who knows maybe this will be the gamble that paid off for you.
